We link into our Citrix servers (TSE 4, MT1.8) remotely using VPN. We have a problem that we use dial up to an ISP to provide the link on the client side.

The client PC runs Windows NT 4.0, the Citrix client software and VPN software.

We are having problems allowing the remote user to print to their local printer. A problem I can see is that the Remote PC does not sit in the main domain at HQ, also the IP address changes each time the user connects to their ISP.

Which means we can not see their PC on the network neighbourhood.

How do people get around this problem please?

Thank you all in advance.

Do you have the redirected printing option turned on in the Citrix connection configuration on the server? That should automatically map the client computer's locally connected printer for them (although I've used it mainly with MetaFrame 1.8 on an Win2k server).

Also, you may have to load the printer driver on the terminal server manually before the client can print.
