Hi All,

I am struggling to register a remote user via the MBG.

I have created a user on the 3300 (an can connect to it using a VoIP client on the LAN), the issue is I am unable to connect from a remote location via MBG.

I have enabled SIP on the MBG and added the user in SIP Devices. Any idea what I could be missing?

Thanks

I have also enabled the MBG in "SIP Device Capabilities" and made sure that the user is using the correct "SIP device capabilities number".

What load of software on the 3300 and the MBG?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

How did you configure the SIP device on MBG?
MBG uses a Back2Back UA to get SIP devices to work.
Basically the SIP phone will register with the MBG and the MBG in turn will register with the 3300.

Basically you need to configure the uname and password for the device on MBG Internet side and MBG 3300 side.

Perhaps you've done and understand this? Have you tried running some traces to see what happens?

Found the issue, the phone was not set to SIP device in the user & device config page on the 3300.
