Assumptions: VFP 6 hitting SQL SERVER 7

If you have a remote view in your DBC in a multi-user environment (multiple users modifying different records in same table) is it possible to have some textboxes bound to that view with save and cancel buttons? That is, the user can choose to edit a record and make some changes and choose whether to save those changes or hit cancel to not save.

I was able to get the text boxes to actually commit the changes to the table, but depending on the value of SendUpdates it would either commit right away or not at all. Perhaps someone could explain how to have a 'find' button to pull up a record in a remote view and have a separate Save button to commit those changes.

Perhaps if someone could give a conceptual overview of how (using SQL passthru) to make textboxes first load a single record and a secondary button that would save any changes, that would be helpful.

Thanks in advance
