I have a remote user who uses an XMOBILE station (EC500) to receive calls at home. She is wanting to make calls outbound from her remote location using our PBX. She doesn't have a softphone installed. Is there any way that she can access our system remotely and make outgoing calls on our lines? I'm drawing a blank here as I have not worked on an Avaya system since way back in 2001. We have an Avaya G3Si version 11.....yes pretty old.

Add her phone number to the off-pbx-telephone station-mapping. This will give her the ability to make calls of your pbx

There is no off-pbx station mapping command. The station is built as an xmobile station. Someone mentioned that they used to be able to dial out through the pbx by inputting a code and then dialing. But not sure what that would be.

there is the change remote access code where you build an extn assign it to the remote access screen , you then point a ddi at the remote extension number you can protect this with barrier codes and amount of calls and cor ....

There is also change telecommuting-access but i dont think this is as secure

I am not sure on the Avaya G3Si but the on the S8800 we have EC500 setup two ways, using the off-pbx-telephone station-mapping and also with XMobile. With the XMobile users can not make calls of the PBX just receive them. The code you mentioned, are you referring to feature-name-extensions ? These give you access to remote features like Call enable and Call Disable for example but you still have to use them in conjunction with station mapping I believe.

no its called remote-access you set up an extn point a ddi at that extn COR allowing this will return dial tone and allow a user to dial out , protect it with a barrier code though
