I realize I am likely opening a pandoras box but .......

Is it possible for me to set up a way our staff can dial in or go to our secure site an syncronize their replica of the database ?

right now we just ftp the database to our secure site, then periodically download the same when in the field. however this only allows updates to the field staff, not vice-versa.

You might want to look into Carbon Copy 32, as it allows synchronization of files. I use it quite often, though it is usually a one way deal.
Once you commit the file transfer methods though, you could always write a query that compares the databases and concatates any new(unique) records from them both. This would form a new, and synchronized, database.
Hope this was helpful, and good luck.
xtreme1
rbio@excite.com

thanks xtreme1, iwas thinking along those lines, however i think i may run into problems if some body compacts the db, i have had that cause a " no common point to start from" error in the past.

will keep trying diff queries.
