Hi there - I am at loss at the moment as I am trying to remotely browse a XP Pro machine which is set-up to work in a Workgroup environment connecting to a Windows NT4.0 Server. My problem is that if I try to remotely browse the XP Pro machine from the NT Server, I get a error message informing me that I do not have permissions to do so. I have made sure the Remote Registry Service is running, but I still do not get any joy. Please Help :-(

Is the firewall feature in XP pro turned on?

regards

You need local administrator rights to that workstation.

I will try adding Local Administrator rights to the workstation, but I think I have tried this option already. No the XP Pro Firewall settings are disabled. I'll let you know the outcome.

Apologies for the late reply [yinyang]
