Hi I am hoping some one can answer this for me as avaya are refusing to help! They know the answer but won't give it to me.
I have one BCM50 and a BCM400 linked via h323 trunks through a VPN.
I can call from one site to another internally with no problems, the BCM50 side currently has no PSTN lines as BT as usual are dragging their feet getting the ISDN30 in. So the the client has asked if it is possible to break out on the ISDN trunks at the BCM 400 site via the voip gateway trunks,I believe this is possible.
I have set up digit 8 as an access code to the voip lines with 9 then used as the break out digit at the far end but all I get is the operator at the remote site. Any one got a solution?
TIA

I've done it many times with T-1/PRI lines but not with ISDN so I'm not a 100% about that. The way to get it done with a T is to set up a remote access package, route, dest code, and I also used MCDN keycodes but some people say you can get away without it? I've always used it, you may already have it as you stated the 50 and the 400 can talk back and fourth right now.

What you need to do is create routes and destination codes.
I have done it between BCM 200 and BCM 50 with PSTN lines.

Here is an example of how to setup the settings.

On Site A, you setup destination code 9, using route 008, absorb all.
Route 008, external number, whatever you put in the setting for the connection to the Site B, for example I have 61, Use pool Bloc:A, Private.

In the Telephony resources, you have to put 61 as destination digit for the Site B.
Thats all for settings on Site A.

The settings on Site B:
Destination Code 61, Route 001,Absorb All.
Route 001, Uses Pool A, or whichever pool is with the PSTN lines, Public.

Thats it, everything works as a charm. :)

Good Luck, if you need any help just say.

Hi knbink,
thanks for the info tried it as described, but found it was only sending two dialed digits to line, changed the route on site A to national from private and everything works fine.
Thanks buddy appreciate the help!!!
