To install a remote win98 shared printer do I need to have the same workgroup configured in solaris?

How do I set the workgroup?

Thanks,

David

Just need to be able to ping the remote print server and add the entry on the Solaris server as "remote" printer. Suggest that you do this via admintool if you dont know how to do it all via comand line

I can ping to and from both machines.

I ran admintool and setup remote printer.

I added the win98 machine to the list of hosts using it's computer name and it's ip address.

I can ping it by it's name.

I put it's name in for the printers host computer name, and the share name I used for the printer.

It says it failed to install, If I view the printers it has a flag for status that says it is offline, but it's print queue is online.

What protocal do I need to have in win98? All I have now is TCP/IP.

Thanks,

David
