Remote Phone (Almost there)

So I have a remote phone almost working.

At this point I have all the ports forwarded, (I can even use the public ip to get into their IPO and use monitor and SSA)

The phone comes up with a typical login screen, I login and for a second everything looks great then it goes to "Registering." About every 2 seconds it switches between that screen and the "typical" screen. But at no point can I make a call out. I have even put the phone into the DMZ using my home router. No change.

Here is the monitor entry. fyi the IPO is 192.168.1.250 on the cust side.

RasMessage = gatekeeperConfirm

Any ideas?

I put a public ip into the network topology tab and ran a STUN.

The firewall type came back as a "Blocking Firewall", which I am guessing is a bad thing. But I got some interesting feedback when I made the changes. Here they are below.

When I changed it to static port block I got a little different message.

What does this mean, "Unregister endpoint RGBA_51782b1d3ab30f6f for extension 222 reason 4?"

This is the problem:

Code:
registered, ipo behind nat 1, [b]phone behind nat 0[/b]

It should show behind nat 1 because it is.
What kind of router and connection is at the users site?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I just have a Verizon router at my house that I was trying it on. Anything in particular I would need to do with it?

Thanks!

I really do not know those routers as we do not have Verizon over here.

we also tried it on a Time Warner Router, same effect

Thanks!

My experience is with Verizon at the house you don't need to change anything on that side. Time Warner, Comcast, or Bright house are a different story. The office however is typically the problem. What port comes back from the STUN discovery? Usually if it is an unexpected port, then it is much faster and easier to just put in a VPN and call it a day, unless the phones are 96x1. A 1 to 1 NAT will usually do the trick unless it's through a Sonicwall, but then just do the VPN. Any word on if/when the phones that aren't being discontinued will support the built in VPN client? Most of the 9600s are going EOS soon.
