Does anybody know of a way to remote page via a DID with a Legend 7.0 system?

Thanks

This is a little creative, buts its possible if you have a Tip-Ring card in your system. Program a tip-ring extension with a did number, then connect the tip-ring to a "station page adapter" (Valcom makes one) this unit will answer the DID call on the 1st ring, then couple it through to a page system. Should work OK.

Let's see, I haven't tried this, but if you loop back a single line port to a co port and set it up as a disa. you could probably call in to the disa, enter the barrier code and then dial craftr4 then the last two numbers of the paging port to page remotely.

Sounds like a good idea.

If you were using a DID you could either renumber a T/R port to the DID and using a T/R to paging adapter call right into it. Or Renumber REMOTE ACCESS Default is 889 to the DID Number you want it to be. Then you can Set up a barrier Code. After a caller calls in, they dial the barrier code then the paging access code I think they could dial 799 for the in Phone paging. I'll have to check on the phone paging though.

I've renumbered the remote access to a DID and it works great for making calls to other extensions and groups but lucent says it won't allow a phone page (ext 799) from remote access. I'm just looking for a creative way to an all station phone page remotely. I haven't tried kens suggestion yet. Thanks for the ideas. Please let me know of any other creative alternatives.

Dutch,

Hook up a valcom V-9970 as a paging interface to a T/R station port. Then you hook up any appropriate paging equipment to the interface.

Then you Can
A: give the Port a VALID DID but you could have accidental calls coming over you paging
or
B: Give the port a number outsise you valid range. Anyone inside the office can call it directly and anyone Outside can call in using the remote access number then dial the barrier code the dial the "paging extention number"

I did this to a DEFINITY and it worked great.. I used the self amplified speakers ans the installation was a breeze.

I've done it over a tandem network running PRI to an analog port, to a Viking CP7B paging unit. It worked well, because the Viking unit has a timed disconnect, and a 600 ohm output for a Valcom zone paging amp
