I am looking for any feedback on software packages that will allow management and monitoring of systems deployed across a Enterprise network of PBX's.

I am aware that some companies will do/host this for you but I am looking to bring this in-house. Soon as I mention that I am looking to bring it in-house, it usually becomes a contract with a vendor.

Any info, thoughts, suggestions are well.

CS1000 features SNMP, you could send traps to a management station and monitor that way. Search online for "snmp trap receiver".

We use Nagios for proactive monitoring of services (though the PBX isn't on it year), it can ping and check servers (web, FTP, SSH, etc) every 5 minutes and reports via a webpage that autoupdates every 90 seconds. It's free but doesn't seem to receive traps though.

That is the kind of stuff I am looking for. Thanks for the information!

Anyone have experience with other software?

Seems most can monitor, but I am interested in the trapping and scripting parts.

We use NetIQ for monitoring our network of CS1000e's. The integration is pretty tight, and the Vivenet diagnostic module works very well for troubleshooting VoIP QoS problems.
