Hello all,
i recall there were several postings and "DWALIN" was the poster.

I am looking at several options on how to get an IP phone working from my home other than getting a higher end Cisco router in my house and doing a VPN tunnel via Router to Router. Plus, i don't really have to have to build static
VPN tunnels on about 1000 peers as well

I would like to know if there are any lower priced options that would work and how to do it. I think DWALIN had a document on how to do it.

thanks.

How about Avaya VPN phone to a PIX at the office? I asked my sales guy this question a few days ago here is what he sent me. Hope its what your looking for.

Highlights:

1. There is a VPN firmware load that can be loaded onto the 4610 and
4621 IP phones.

2. This VPN client is interoperable on Avaya Security Gateways, Cisco
3000 series concentrators, PIX, and Juniper Security gateway.

3. There is a license fee to run a VPNremote phone. This license is
maintained by a WebLM application that runs on one of your Windows
servers. WebLM tracks the number of concurrent VPNRemote phones that
are registered to Communication Manager.

4. You can actually run a VPNRemote phone for 30 days (trial mode)
without any WebLM application.

5. Cisco config at

6. Firmware download available from site below.
