Hello guys,
I am creating a portal for a franchisee that owns 7 locations and growing. I currently am designing custom applications to track and manage a lot of operations. I need to get my remote host to connect to the micros servers on each location.

Technology
- Bluehost Linux server for hosting
- PHP
- MySQL

***Micros Server***
- MICROS 3700 POS
- RES 4.1 HF3
- Sybase version 9.0.2.3396

1. What ports do I use to get into the server and access the database?
- I know I will have to forward these ports on my router/firewall to access
- Also I know I will need a ddns type setup or static IP.
2. What do I need in order for the PHP to interact with the server, any special classes or drivers need to be installed?
- I see that the Micros servers do have SQLite ODBC drivers installed.
3. Anyone have an example of a connection string?
- I can get into the databases with the custom/custom.

The current goal is to have cashiers count their drawers down and have the totals compare with the micros database. Then once there is a major shortage automatically have an email sent out to our payroll department for a payroll deduction. This is just one example of the many functions I tend to incorporate into this portal.

I'm sorry if there is a post similar to this one anywhere, I tried to do a little research before posting.
Thanks

I also read a post where there is documentation regarding the micros database at \Micros\Documentationfrom this post
My servers don't have this documentation. Can anyone upload the files so I can take a look?
I love knowledge :)

Looks too easy to be true lol but I'll try it!

What do I open up for ports?
