I have a system with 2 remote sites linked via VPNS . I have had to change broadbands . Now remote phones LIP-8012D handsets wont connect back to main system . I can go to any remote site and administer system and routers so VPNS are working .
Any ideas ??? In the MFIM IP address in the phone do I put in the far end IP address as the phones originally had the local WAN IP address in ?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated .

Sounds like you were using port forwards off the public IP Address, which would have changed with the ADSL provider change.

If you are using VPN's then the following settings apply

Go to System & Device IP (PGM 102~103)and establish what the sequence number of your remote phone is. While you are there, make sure that the firewall IP Address is correct (may have changed with the ADSL Provider change)

With that info, go to Board Based Attributes, and ensure that the IP Address of the router local to the remote phone is correct.

Log into the phones config and ensure it is set as follows:

Same LAN as MFIM - No
Local/Remote - Local
MFIM I.P. - same as internal MFIM address (not the public IP Address)

If you are using port forwarding, then set the phone as follows
Same LAN as MFIM - No
Local/Remote - Remote
MFIM I.P. - set to public IP Address
