I need to forward several 500 & 2616 sets from command line. I know I can set them for FDN/FTR to go after four rings, but how can I do it so they forward right away, ring the forwarded number, and if no answer drop back to the Orig. DN?
(Just like you did a #1 or use the forward button on the phone).

in ld 57 print your rcfw code.. then set a scpw on the set...

if you need to leave the phone in remote call forward works great.. if not, just null the key or out the phone and put the dn back in as a maxp 1 acd ncfw to mail... 20 sec to program and works perfect every time

i usually print code all, but you just need the RCFA, RCFD codes the a turns it on the d takes it off

Thanks for the quick reply (as always!) John.
I checked my FFC codes in LD57....There are none programmed.
I want to make sure I didn't use the word 'Remote' here incorrectly. I don't have access to the phone, just the TTY for the switch & need to FWD these phones.

Hello - new here. Sorry to resurrect this, but is there a TTY command which can activate/deactivate the 'forward all calls' feature on a digi set, similar to the RCFA/RFCD feature codes used from a set on the system?

Thanks

I would build a phantom DN that DCFW to the requested number then point the extension of the 500 or 2616 set to the newly created phantom via IDC table LD 49.However this will only forward call coming in from the outside, inside calls would still ring the set. Then when you want to remove the forwarding just remove the extension out of the IDC table.

You can do this remotely, but you need DISA. If you are gonig to complete this from outside the building

dial the DISA number

NPA-NXX-1234
When you hear the beeps, enter your SCOD, because I know you would have a SCOD if you are using DISA, XXXXXXX.

Then in one string you will dial

RCFD FFC + SCPW for the station + Prime DN of the station + 9+number you want to CFW to

Example:

8000+1234+1234+918005551212

I ususally have the SCPW the same and the Prime DN as it makes it easier for the user to remember.

You can allow users DISA access, but make sure you have a low enough NCOS setting for your DISA access.

And don't start with the "I would never use DISA as this opens your switch up to Tol Fraud" because if you are properly maintaining your system you won't be open to toll fruad. DISA can be utilized for this and for remote troubleshooting.

Hope this helps.

Looks like DISA is the way to go. I will look into it - convincing the powers that be should be interesting.

Thanks to all for the advice.

best bet is not to inform the powers.. the less they know the more they can pretend to know.. i built one disa trunk here.. 7 digit password.. mostly so i can call my boss and give him the warm fuzzy when he see's the clid, knowing i didn't leave early... he likes to express mail me on friday around 4

I'm with John if it's not to late tell the powers that be that the PBX doesn't support this feature.

Personally I, in the past, have spent too much time undoing user activated call forward's that the user activated with the "forward" key and then couldn't figure out how to undo the forward.

I finally figured out that I could move thier phone to my location, undo the forward and then move the phone back.

(I would also send them a user guide with the forwarding instructions highlighted.)

Then if they kept it up the forward key would somehow get deleted off of thier phone:)

I learned the hard way about introducing new features into an enviroment and not taking into account the extra workload that I was creating for myself.

BFS is now a bad word in my dictionary :)

All,

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up outing the TN & then
putting it back in. (I emailed one guy & after two days he finally realized that you have to take the phone off-hook when you press #1) Glad to know I could have just moved it
over & back now. I don't have DISA and also don't have anything but "Impact Training" on this switch so anything
helps out allot!
Thanks........Chuck

you can also nul the forward key then put it back.. and in case someone hasn't noticed you can trac a tn and see if the forward is active (as well as msg lamps)..
