I thought that's what I had done too. So here's my setup, albeit with fake numbers:
CEO has a digital 9508 set, extension 1000. He has a DID 555-1000. That 555-1000 rings not only on his extension 1000 but two secretaries as well by way of bridged appearances on their extensions, 1200 and 1400. That has alway worked well.
I came along and built an IP extension 2000 and checked off "allow remote extn".
I then built a user for 2000 named "vpnuser". It has "enable remote remote worker" checked off.
Then after your guidance, I went to the CEO user mobility tab for 1000 and checked off internal twinning, where it says "twinned handset", I entered 2000. I also checked off "twin bridge appearances" and "twin line appearances".
When I plug the vpn phone into the internet , it comes up looking just like extension 1000, which is perfect. But as soon as I unplug it, all of 1000's internal and external calls route directly to 1000's mailbox.
Are you saying I should actually go to 2000 and twin handset 1000? Or maybe I should do both?
