I'm trying to setup a remote ext. I have the ports forwarded, the new ext setup, and all of the IP Office configuration complete. The phone registers successfully. I'm having an issue with voice. I can make phone calls however voice traffic isn't working. I can't talk to the person on the other end and they can't hear me. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks for your help.

Seen it loads, it's because the way Avaya remote phones work is very susceptible to interference/blocking by routers (typically user end) and also some network providers/ISPs block it. This is why we use VPNs instead, it saves you going grey before your time :)

Make sure STUN is set and you could try to add REMOTE_H323=1800 to the source number of the NoUser

It was the "Allow Direct Media Path" option under the extension settings.

Really? As that's supposed to be ignored in this scenario...well done Avaya :)

BTW you're lucky to have this work, we find it 70/30 for it not working versus working :)

It is selected by default. We just cleared it and all was well.
The phone was also rebooting regularly until we put in the REMOTE_H323=1800.

Good to hear you've got it working. I guess you have a cisco router. ;-)

We do on our office side, the customer has netgear at their office and who knows what at the remote site. We will cheer if it works when deployed. That is not my problem though, it goes back to djacobs38 ;)
