Remote dial up using network Connections

When using the network connection to remotely access an S series Avaya server, a login window appears after the dial connection is established. This window will not allow me to type any characters. The login window doesn't recognize the keyboard strokes. The cursor blinks at the login prompt.

Any ideas as to why?

Hi,

It's due to a windows update,

Go to add or remove programs on your windows XP operating system, and remove the KB911280 windows update, it was installed in june 2006, after your terminal prompt will work fine
