Hi all, I know this is a subject that has been talked about quite a bit but I can't seem to find anyting either on cisco or on this site that fixes my problem.
I have a Cisco 7206 w/ I/O-FE and NPE-225 running 12.2.23a code that I'm trying to dial into remotely via Hyperterm and a modem connected to the router's aux port.
the modem is a USR Sportster 33.6. I've got the correct dip setting according to this list and to cisco. Here is what I've tried for configs on the router:
Line Aux 0
session-timeout 3
exec-timeout 5 0
password 7
login
modem InOut
modem autoconfigure discovery
no exec
transport input all
stopbits 1
speed 38400 ( have tried 9600, 38400, 57600 and 115200)
flowcontrol hardware
line aux 0
session-timeout 3
no exec
exec-timeout 5 0
password 7
logout-warning 120
absolute-timeout 5
login
modem DTR-active
transport input all
stopbits 1
flowcontrol hardware
When i have hyperterm setup to dial into the router using my laptops internal modem, it connects to the modem but the router won't respond.
To amplify the problem i'm not in front of it and i'm trying to work w/ onsight techs to fix it.
TIA,
Bryan
