Hi everyone,

Is there anyway to connect two WIndows 2000 pcs to use Remote Desktop? I installed the software from microsoft (latest) Do I need to configure anything permission wise to allow others to connect to the W2K PC?

Thanks,
Ross

My understanding is that whilst you can use Remote Desktop to connect to an XP / 2003 machine from Win2K, Win2K does not support connection to it using Remote Desktop. I'm sure someone here will correct me if I'm mistaken.

I tend to use LogMeIn (the free version) to connect and control one of my Win2K machines from the other. Others here recommend the freeware TightVNC.

My vote is for VNC. Would NetMeeting do the trick?

Cheers,

Dian

if you dont want to use extra software Netmeeting is free and already on your machine and will allow remote desktop control. BUT its massively bandwidth hungry.

you can download remote desktop for windows 2000 on microsoft.com and install on your windows 2000.
