Remote desktop to XP Mode

XPMode has been set up for DHCP but the IP address is 192.168.131.xxx. All other systems on my LAN are 192.168.1.xxx and it is a 24 bit mask. How do I remote desktop to the XP Mode VM running on another W7 machine? I don't really want to remote on to the W7 machine and then use the XP mode VM from there.

Simple turn off the windows firewall on both of the XP and Win7.

All the firewalls are down. When I try to ping the XPMode VM, the remote machine knows the address but can't ping it.
