Remote desktop connects and automatically disconnects

We are trying to connect win 2003 server with remote desktop. After the login screen we see the desktop but screen is frozen and then it automatically disconnects waits for 1-2 minutes and connects again. After all these things we can able to do some operations in server.

Do you have any idea about what is going on

For a start...
Check you MTU setting from both ends of remote sessions, search google for "black hole"
Get a free utility called TCP Optimizer off the web, checks MTU
