Hi all,

What is the best way/software to remote control a Win2003EnterpriseServer sp2?

Kent J.

What aspect are you wanting to remotely control?

Well,
add users, control virus protection, run programs on the server, check the harddisk array, restart the server.

Kent J.

RDP into the server. Poof, done.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

There are no more PDC's! There are DC's with FSMO roles!

Explain more.
What do I have to do?
Can I install this on a XP-client?

Kent J.

Click start - run - type in mstsc, this brings up the remote desktop conection, type in the name of the server and connect.

Cheers

Ken

I think the command is:
shutdown -s -f -m \\servername -t 01

and then leave the building :)

True, although the 0 isn't needed, but you could use it without the 1
Code:
shutdown -s -f -m \\servername -t 0

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

I guess I have to run Terminal Server on my Win2003 server to get this to work?

Right click my computer and choose properties/click on the Remote tab. Then check the box for Remote Desktop
