Remote Control Of terminal Services Session Via TS Manager 1

I have a test Windows 2003 Server I am using to understand various features. One feature is terminal Services.

I have a session started from Remote Desktop Connection that is initiated on my Test server and is logged on to my server - in other words its a remote connection from my server to my server.

In my console session on the server, I have opened Terminal Services Manager and I can see the Remote Connection session.

I have right clicked it and have found the option for 'Remote Control' is greyed out. This surprises me since the Terminal services Configuration is set to 'Interact with session' and 'Do not allow remote control' is left clear ( i.e. unselected ).

Anybody any idea why the Remote Control is greyed out?
I can't see any group polices that should be causing a problem and since I have overriden them anyway with the Terminal Services Configuration settings, I'd expect to be able to take control of the session.

Try connecting to the server from a workstation, and it's not likely greyed out. Only when connecting from the localhost to the localhost is it greyed out (IIRC).

Are you using AD? Does the user account have "Enable Remote Control" enabled?
