I recently had to reinstall W2K on a laptop due to a harddrive failure. Everything is reinstalled and I downloaded the remote desktop client from MS. I am using a script that automates the process to connect to a XP Pro desktop. The script worked fine prior to the reinstall and I have other people that can still connect fine remotely. Now when I try to connect it gets to the point were you would normally see the windows login prompt and gives me an error that it was unable to establish a connection because it was refused or was to busy.

this happens both running the script and manually starting the connection?

what's the network - workgroup/domain?

Problem solved. It was my stupidity...I forgot to install PuTTY. Everything in the green now.

Thanks wolluf for your response.
