I can see the computer in the "Computers" box, but when I try to connect to it I get an error:

"Connectivity to the remote computer could not be established".

I read somewhere that XP Pro can have only one connection, so I had logged off the client desktop before trying to remote from an external connection.

I am able from the same external connection to remote the server with no problems.

Are there any common things I should check for to fix this problem?

From the machine you are trying to connect to make sure that it was added to the domain using the clinet connect site that is provided by sbs.

I ran into this problem and it was fixed by joining the dest. machine to the domain using the client connect site.

You are using RWW right?

Yep, I am using RWW. I do recall joining this computer to the domain from the executable wizard. My computer rebooted and was joined.

For some reason I cannot remote to the server now either, but it could be because I am behind a corporate network right now. The situation I described above was when I was using a seperate connection I have at my office that is not connected to the server nor behind a firewall.

I'll take a look again once I get back to my office and tinker around a bit.

From the server, can you connect to that workstation using Remote Desktop? If not, then it's not just the RWW, it's something on the workstation that needs to be set. Get properties on My Computer on that workstation and make sure that it's all set up for remote connections.

Sorry guys, turns out the workstation did have a software firewall installed (nvidia motherboard software). I luckily came across it when looking at applications installed on the workstation. After opening up the proper port, adding the domain, and server ip to that firewall I was then able to remote access the computer :)

Thanks again for all your help, this is my first sbs install and it has helped alot!
