Hello Board, Newbie here...

I'm trying to set up Remote Call Forwarding and our IT won't help.

So, we have the following system:

Avaya Partner ACS (Pacs R7.0 910) / Euro 18D phones / 200e module R3.1 / Model 103D2 / 2 Slot carrier

I have programmed the phones (thru ext. 10) as (Feature 00 - left intercom 2x - #322 - ext.# - #1 assigned) and have programmed a personal speed dial (99) to call the desired outside line.

So far, if we press intercom and an extension, the call will be successfully forwarded to the outside number. Also, incoming calls can be forwarded to other extensions. But, incoming calls won't forward directly to the outside number - it just rings.

As far as lights go... When we hit the intercom button and the desired extension, the ext. light first goes red and then green when the outside number has connected.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

How are you forwarding? Feature-11-(Ext. No)-99 or Feature-11-(Ext. No)-*99

And are you trying to forward ALL incoming calls, or only those that are first answered (by an auto attendant or live person) and then TRANSFERRED to a particular extension.

Thanks TouchToneTommy.

I've only tried Feature 11 - Ext. 14 - 99 (no * used). So far, I've only attempted to forward Ext. 14 immediately from an incoming call before anyone 'live' picks up the line (no transferring). We've never had an auto attendant (never been programmed?). But yes, ideally, I would like to forward incoming calls on a particular extension to an outside number, or at the very least, forward all incoming calls to an outside number.

Update: Experimented with manually transferring incoming calls to another extension (programmed with Forward 99) and all calls successfully dialed and connected with the outside number.

OK, then you need to tell the system which extension "owns" which lines, so hat it will follow the forwarding. In system programming, do #208-(Line No.)(Extension No.)

#208-01-14, #208-02-14, #208-03-14, etc.

Then forward 14 with Feature-11-14-99 (no *, that's a completely different feature but will cause Remote Call Forward to fail)

That did the trick! Thanks so much!

Okay, last question (I promise). To allow an incoming call to ring 4 times before being forwarded to an outside line, I would use: System Program - #320 - Number of Rings Desired - Feature 00. Correct?

Thanks...

Okay, thanks again, you've really helped our office tremendously!
