I am trying to set up RCF on an adjunct. Have the adjunct set up for RCF, Tk-tk transfer, and set up auth code for adj ext 582. When I try to get someone in the office to forward 582 I ask them to use this string:
#80-582#*33-9-1-949-244-9558# They get a wave off right after the first 9. I have had them try a # instead of * in front of 33 (Avaya suggestion)with same result. Had them try without the 1 before the number, same result. It seems to balk at the first 9 (ARS access).

What release of Legend?

Can you RCF a real extension as opposed to an adjunct with an authorization code?

Are you lines set for Loop Start reliable disconnect?

Legend 3.1 v2.0
I don't have any real extensions I can use at this time. Lines are set for reliable disconnect.

It's not until Release 6 that you can use an Authorization Code to RCF an extension.

When I asked if you could RCF a real extension, I was really asking if RCF worked for ANY extensions, but now it looks like you will need to "burn" an extension to make it happen.

Best solution would be to pick up a used R7 processor, then convert your R3 translations to the new processor.

Thanks,
I guess WNSPM is leading me astray. It seems to let me program an auth code and when I do a station print out it shows the auth code. Weird.

Yes, you can program an Auth Code. But you can't use the Auth Code to RCF an extension. BUT, if the extension with the Auth Code has a higher FRL from a restricted extension, you can use it to place calls that would otherwise be denied. Useful for authorized people to make calls from restricted phones.

If the processor is a CKE3 - you can just upgrade the processor to an R7 using a flash card. If it is a processor without a PCMCIA card slot (like the old "Large System Processor" - you need a newer processor - ideally a CKE4 - but a CKE3 will do with an updated firmware load.

Hi:
Thanks for the help. I was able to set up a remote access DID then dial in, enter the barrier code, dial
*33-<ext #>-9-1-XXX-XXXX# and it worked.
