Remote Call Forward from outside line

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to set up an external number to call into our meridian option 11c who's main purpose is to be able to forward an already existing DN by punching in codes. We had this ability at another site but it was housed on a different pbx. The way it worked over there was:

To cancel forwarding from 508-555-5555:

* Dial 1-508-555-5554
* When the dial tone returns dial 776 500# 1234#
* Hang up when you hear 3 tones

To forward from 508-555-5555:

* Dial 1-508-555-5554
* When the dial tone returns dial 775 500# 1234# 8+1-508-xxx-xxxx
* Hang up when you hear 3 tones

Does anybody know if an option 11C can do this type of external call forwarding????

I've searched the docs and internet and nothing has presented itself.

yes this is possible on a meridian but you are opening up the possiblity of fraud.



The feature is called remote call forward and can be found in the X11 features and services ntp

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

you would need a little more then that one ntp, fraud in this case would be in all caps.. it's called disa, read up on it well before you turn it on, you'll need to provide pbx dial tone to a inbound call, so the spree code + remote call forward code + the dn of the station + the call forward dest. i would not set it up for a customer myself and it is not a easy job. let me know if after you attempt, if you get stuck
