Remote Call Forward from off system 1

Hi

Our On site IT support team have an on call rota for out of hours. They use Forward all Calls from an extension to divert calls to their respective mobiles. The problem is that someone has to come in and manually change it over.

Is there any method that can be used to allow them to change the mobile number that the calls go to from outside the system?

Yes it is called DISA ( direct inward sysytem access)

be careful though it is a hackers delight

Hi Thanks for the replies, I can't use DISA as it isn't equipped on the system. The Modem option is a posibility. I'll have to look into it. Thanks again.

Another simple way is to use Google Voice

Just permanently forward the number to a Google Voice Number and have it ring all the phones, including the desk phone at work - then each person can go into

and just uncheck themselves when they are no on call.

You could have the calls go directly to CallPilot and instruct callers to press "0" to get the cell phone. Users can call into the CallPilot and change their revert number remotly in the mailbox that answers. Easy......
