Remote Back Up, Mics 7.0

We have a Mics with 7.0 I would like to remotely back it up with nortel remote software, We are going to install X/C software so that we can install a 2nd 6 port card, when we try and do a restore will it take on the new software, does any one know the answer to this one.

if you are going to go from 7.0 to 7.0 xc all programming will there after bootup....back is advisable in case sh*t hits fan and are forced to abandon upgrade..no restore will be needed on upgrade

7.0 to 7.0 XC is plug 'n play - but do a backup like the serviceboy told
