I am getting a error when trying to both send a request and
offer assistance within a LAN. When sending a box comes up from Internet Explorer and says "A program failed to start please try again" and when offering it will say "Access to the requested resource has been disabled by your Admin"

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance

Thanks, I did go through all the links and doubled checked everything, still no luck I think it maybe a setting on our AD or ISA server.

It seems to be trying to get out through the internet because of the errors but then again we are on a LAN

stumped

Trying Remote Assistance through an ISA sever, you are a braver person than I.

There are port forwarding issues. This can work. See the Remote Access Wiki:
It is not Remote Assistance, per se, it is a NAT issue. Make sure you are curent with DirectX (it oddly handles a lot of NAT issues) and are carefull about forwarding the ports needed for Remote Desktop.

I am trying to offer remote assistance to a user and I keep getting the following message: "There is a problem with the invitation and it cannot be opened. To use remote assistance, the sender of this invitation will have to send you a new invitation." All the configuration are correct and I am able to connect to other users machines. Her permissions and group policy settings are fine. I've done all the steps Microsoft recommends and still no luck. Any help is appreciated.
