Is there are way with the TAPI driver or something else to make it so that a remote user can plug an analog phone into their computers modem and get a line from the IP Office to make calls?

I'd like to do it this way instead of the Phone Manager program.

Thanks!

No, you better use a VPN phone.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

No TAPI driver for any system in the world can turn a computers modem into an analogue trunk, you are asking for something that can't be done, you need to use either a VPN phone or a headset and Phone Manager unfortunately. With later software levels you can use Phone manager in telecommuter mode and have it use their landline but that incurs call costs :)

I suppose that if the existing modem has a input and output port and has a analog extension plugged into the input of the modem and the analog phone is plugged into the output port of the modem and you get dialtone when off hook on the phone then yes.

It's people like you who generalize.

Thanks! I guess I will just stick with the Phone Manager telecommuter mode. This works just fine the only problem is my at home callers complain about how much longer it take to make a call.

oh damn.. missed the remote user part.
