Remote Agent Fails

The connection to the data to backup has been lost. Backup set canceled.

I run WIN2k SP4 with BE 8.6.
On one of my remote servers WIN2k SP4 (DC) i ge tthe error above.
This error ocurs inly when the remote Agent is backing up the Registry in
the System State. It loses connection at the registry point and continues
at the next folder failing to backup the registry.

Please help.

Have a look at the user account that the service is using.
Make sure it's valid and that there're the same.

The service account Backup Exec is using is a member of the local administrator group on the remote server and a member of the Domain admins.
The account is valid and okay.

Does anyone know if Visual Source Safe 6.0C has any effect on Backup Exec. Since the installation of Visaul Source Safe 6.0C I notice that Backup Exec Remote Agent Service loses connection ( Stops and start error message above)when about to backup the Registry.

It then proceed to backup other folders apart from the Registry.
