Remote Admin R3.0

I was horrified to learn that the R3.0 doesn't have an admin port because I'm trying to print out the whole setup to assist me with programing a new 3com system. My internal Conextant winmodem connects but when I enter the password (which I've set) the program freezes. Is this typical behavior for internal modems? Is there a pcmcia modem that will work better? I've read posts about this USR 5686-03 external modem. Forgive my ignorance but this is a serial modem (DB25)? Does hardware this work with XP? Can you help shed some light on this for me?

I got a USR pcmcia modem to connect to Partner ACS R3. But I still can't authenticate with the password I created. I tried the password as it appears on the phone console(all upper case), all lower case, and also with the number codes to create the password on the phone console. Is there something else to try or is it just an incompatible modem? The model is XJ1560.

I have a related problem, I was able to get into remote admin after a while, but when I retrieve the settings the software won't open the file.

jthornburgh - is your ACS an R7.0 R91O ? (Press Feature 59 to confirm)

If so, download the latest release of Remote Admin software, there has been a change with the 91O revision.
