I would like to remotely access our Meridian Mail in case of inclement weather to change the main access DN. Am I correct in assuming that I need to set up another ACD line (similar to Prompt Maintenance) that is set to Remote Activation in the Voice Services DN Table in Meridian Mail? Ultimately, I would like to be able to call from home and change the main access DN to an alternate announcement (the inclement weather announcement) that is located under in the Announcement Definitions in Voice Services Admin. Is this correct?

well, I set up the ACD and was able to call from work and access the Remote Activation number. However, when I got home I tried to call and there was only a fast busy. Any thoughts?

thanks,
Autumn

Is the ACD number accesable to the out side world like a DID number? and is your NCFW set to go to main vmail number? every thing else sounds right.

I am able to access the prompt maintenance from outside using thrudial only, not directly dialing the number.

The message that displays from dialing the remote activation number using thrudial says:

"that number cannot be reached from this service, please try again"

And, while in the office I can access both fine.
Dialing both prompt maintenance and remote activation directly from home gives me a fast busy.
ok, so I think I understand a little more now.
How can I access my ACD line like a DID line?
The NCFW is set to the main vmail #.

thanks for your help,
autumn
