Any suggestions on remote access to a Meridian Opt11? Thanks

You can use a modem, recommend US Robotics Veverything as they have external switches that allow you to dumb down the modem. If the Opt11 serial port gets to many extraneous mesages, which auto bauding will cause, etc, the port will lock out.
Or you can use the ehternet port on the Opt SSC card. For this you need to set up an embedded LAN as the Opt11 ehternet port can't handle zip broadcast/traffic. Also, you need to set up RLOGIN, so you need an app like reflections. There are quite a few posts on this site on how to set this up.
Or you can use a termserver. I use both Lantronix & Digiterm products. This setup is by far the easiest to set up & more reliable than modems. I am assuming of course that you have access to the LAN, if not, your choice is a modem
