For some unknown clue i cannot get this to work. I have a desktop computer (winxp) trying to remote access a host computer which is a laptop (winxp) When i try to connect it sees it but when it connects it pops up with a dos window and closes really quickly and thats that. WHATS going on? it doesnt show any error it just goes back to the pcAnywhere Manager. Does anyone know what to do! Both computers i built myself and are completely up to techknowledgy. Its PCAnywhere 10.5 Thanks

Make sure the pcAnywhere settings are the same on both ends. If you configured the host PC to use encryption but did not tell the connecting PC to use the same encryption, you will have a problem.

I checked, Everythings the same. It now gives me a black screen for about 2-4 secs and then quits as it did before with no error message. Should i reinstall?
