Trying to setup remote access on a s8500C running acm 3.1.2. Going through the web browser to configure the modem which seems to go ok. But if I test the modem it fails the handsake test and when I configure the modem for multiple incoming calls it says the modem is not connected.

I've tried the 3 usb ports on the server and rebooted but no joy.

Do I need to connected the modem to the SAMP board or can I use any of the usb ports???

Many thanks

Hi,

Try to isolate the problem by using the modem in a standard PC or try replacing the modem.

The modem should be plugged into the samp board and power supplied to the samp board. We have had problems getting it to recognize the modem if it wasn't plugged in during boot up. There is also a samp upgrade that needs to be performed. good luck!
