I have a Definity TN2404 PROC (R9SI OR LATER ECS) and am not able to connect remotely. I have no problem when onsite. SAT is set to port 5105, CLAN IP is 192.168.1.10. I installed a li'l Linksys router off of the cable modem and enabled port forwarding. Doesn't work. Via PBX modem I can ping the router. I even programmed the router into node-names. Still no-go. Am I missing a programming step? Thanks from a newbie....

You may be running into problems with the cable modem provider. They may filter some ports.

I'd try putting CLAN board into the DMZ of the linksys router. See if that works. If it does, you probably have a mis-configured port forwarding problem.

I'd also not use port forwarding. Put it in the 'services' section. (Where you'd set your http, ftp, telnet, etc services.)

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

I just got through talking with my IT manager. He suggested the same thing, but said I'd lose access to the router. I have two other devices that need accessed through there. Thanks for the timely answer; it was valuble. Apparently the PBX is configured properly.
