Hi guys,
I was wondering if there was anyway to access the Definity PBX system remote, pretty much so I can be lazy and not need to walk back to the server room to access the console.

Thanks,

Put a 1FB on the Aux cable in the A carrier on the violet-slate pair. This can also be a station number in the PBX.

You can dial in using Procomm, Avaya Terminal Emulator, ASA, tutty, Teranova, hyperterm, and several other methods and software packages.

Thank you for this information,
Sorry to be a pain, but a few questions regarding the set up with the software.
"Put a 1FB on the Aux cable in the A carrier on the violet-slate pair"
"This can also be a station number in the PBX."
Does this mean can be done one way or the other? Or do I need the 1FB on AUX in A and set up a station
besides putty, not tutty, not sure if there is a big difference, hyperterm is the only other tool I've used. Would I need to set a DID up and dial into that. I guess I would need to set a modem connection uo on my pc to do this?
Thanks again,

1FB or DID station to reach the inads line from the outside world.

non DID station you can reach the inads line from another station at your desk if you are at the same location.

Depending on your hardware plaform and Definity / CM software versions, this may word quite differently with modem-pooling, CLAN used for IP connectivity, or dialup and "ras" PPP connection.

Thank you for this again,
Do you mind instructing how to set up this connection, with whatever tool is easiest for you to explain.

jfcrescenzo, what software release is your Definity? does it have a C-LAN card?
