Hello all, anyone know the process for remote access a system phone from outside? they have a G3si v10 setting up a pri and need to test outbound calls no one on site to test for me they have did's and c.o.trunks cant find it on manual anything helps thanks

change remote-access and enter a spare DDI number. Make sure trunk access is turned on and you can use the TAC to dial out from each trunk. Make sure you remove the entries after this or you will be open to toll fraud

You won't be able to use the TAC on a PRI. Set up ARS tables to route out the PRI on one specific number, then use remote coverage to that number via a local extension. Call the in to the local extension and watch list trace station XXX, or list trace tac XXX on the PRI as the call progresses.

Use the IP softphone... most systems have the try buy licenses.

or

You could remote control a PC with a modem connected to it, use hyperterminal to dial the digits.

or

Remote access should be able to do it... but not by dialing a TAC to ride a PRI (as mentioned above)

or

Use Telecommuter to change a coverage path to route externally via your Pri.

or

Program a DID as a VDN, then in the vector route to an outside number with a route to step - that has routing via the PRI in question

or

There's always the security guard....

Hope this helps...

Thanks,
