Remote acces

HI,
I want to connect 2 PC only by the means of modems and telephone lines (if that is possible), one in my office and the second at home. The PC in the office may runs win XP, win2000, or win2000 server the one at home will be running on XP. I don't want to include Router in this connection.
If possible, some links to get the necessary software for the issue.

some ideas please.

that is kind of what i'm trying to do. I've already established the connection to the network but I can't log into another pc via remote desktop, anywho thats another issue.

But heres how i got the connection:

check if your pc has a modem internally, externally.
Make sure you have the driver for that modem.

next you can go to microsoft.com and search for Remote Access, it will bring up a document RAS overview. take alook at that. That will help you every step of the way.






If all else fails..........reboot!
