Hi ,
I am trying to connect an external 9608 ip phone on a remote site and the phone just always stays hung up at Discover 68.73...
Here are the variables and the things i tried:
The IP office is on a public IP with no firewall blocking it.
My phone is on a home connection behind a FVS338 router.
We have 12 IP endpoint licenses with only 6 being used ( by internal phones) so this is the first external phone.
I managed to get the phone working when i connect it directly to my cable modem and bypass the router so i know it's a router blocking issue.
It's an IPO 500v2 7.0
I dont have a DMZ option on the router so does anyone know what ports i should be forwarding to the phone ?
Also when i got it working the call quality was not the best , it wasent choppy or anything like that it just sounded hollow, can i force it to use a better codec or something of the sort .
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
