Reminders not working

I have a R5 clinet whos reminders in calander are not coming up. I have checked the $enablealarms = 1 line in the *.ini file. Even though I set it to 1 it sometimes goes back to 0. Or if it is set to 1 they still do not work. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I have found this an intermittant problem with a few users within my organisation. They way I have alleviated it in the past, at least on a temporary basis, is under Tools-->Preferences-->Calendar tab-->Free Time tab, make a slight change to your normal office hours (i.e. delete a single character and then retype it) and click OK. This seems to jolt the reminders into life.
