Remember Password Field

Win ME and dial up connections settings.

I cannot get the machine to remember the password. When I create a new connection and enter the password there is no place to choose Remember Password and the connect dialogue window that opens is minus the password that I enter and the "Remember Password" field is greyed out.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

The first thing I'd try would be to uninstall dial up networking, reboot and reinstall then try again - make sure you make notes of your settings first though .
