I installed a couple of door phones on a ox32 after which a "answer door" button was asigned where I had a external page button. The customer would like the page button at it's previous location. I am unable to F*3 a page button over the "answerdoor" button, and can't find a feature code for "answer door" anywhere so I can move that to another button.....does anybody know of a feature code for "answerdoor" or a feature code to "move feature" like there is to move a line? Well that question makes since to me I hope it does to everybody else. If anybody has any answers........Thanks in advance Phonman@comcast.net

Do a feature*0 to find out what button is. I bet it is an answer dn button.
Good Luck!!

nope....it says "ansDoor", and if I go in to "266344" and ck "button programing" on ext.221 in "terminals and sets" the display shows that button with no options like the "intercom" or "handsfree button", where as the other feature buttons have the option of "clear" or "feature" code. I'm stumped at this point except to move the page button. Thanks anyway. Phonman@comcast.net

It is an answer DN button then. They just named the DN "Door". These buttons are like handsfree and intercom - they cannot be moved to another location, only removed.
To delete the answer DN:
in 'terminals & sets' -SHOW- ext. 221 -SHOW- 'line assignment' -SHOW then NEXT until 'answer DN'-show- change to 'unassigned'

Then of course that person's phone will not ring when someone presses the door phone button. MRoberts

Thanks everyone, I'll move the page button..I'm sure this will just ruin the customer's day (or at least they'll think so) Thanks again......later Phonman@comcast.net

Hello,
As lowradiation explains when you assign an answer DN button the Norstar will assign it to the first button above the Intercom buttons. That's where it will be,and stay.So it is a good idea to check the button lay out of the set that you are adding the answer DN to. That way you can explain to the customer that the feature they have on that button will have to be moved to a different button. And your right it usually ruins their day. I don't know why? Is it that difficult to learn a new location of the feature or live without something that they didn't use in the first place.
Dmac,

If it's newer softaware can you not make the door ring a hunt group? this way you can have the group ring only at the sets on the intercom key. ~Will Nortel soon be NoTel??~
