Releasing DDi Extension Numbers per phone

I've been using this site for a while now and its excellent, but this is my 1st post, so be gentle.

Is it possible to send the DDI number as CLI for specific extensions and block other extensions, I have been asked this question and I cant remember if it is possible ?

If that doesn't work because of what switch software you have, use "change public-unknown-numbering 1".

It access the Public/Unknow numbering table where you can manipulate outbound CallerID information:

Ext Ext Trk CPN CPN
Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len

4 1001 5 2025551000 10
4 1002 10 2025551099 10


This setup here would make any calls from extension 1001 that go out Trunk Group 5 appear to the outside world that the calling number is 2025551000. The same goes for the next entry....any call from extension 1002 going out over Trunk Group 10 would appear to come from 2025551099.

Also, depending on your LEC, you can output other numbers, like 1-800 numbers in place of your DID number. Say if you are running a Call Center and you want your customers to see your toll-free number instead on your "bill to number" or your DID, you can send them your toll-free number. Again, this depends on your LEC.

Caution: If you use other numbers besides YOUR OWN, there could be legal ramifications. For instance DO NOT put in the number for the Whitehouse as your outbound Caller ID.
