Hi!

I want to reformat my hard disk and reinstall Windows 2000. What's the easiest way to do this?

Cheers,

Martin

Easiest way to do this is to Backup all your data first (Pics, Docs etc)

Then just boot from the Win 2000 cd and let the installer re-format the drive and install.

Hi!

Thanks for the info, but how do I boot from the CD? When I press F8 I do not get this option. Is it somewhere else?

Cheers,

Martin

It probably all depends on the boot sequence defined in the BIOS. You should have the floopy in 1st, CD-ROM in second and IDE in 3rd. Saving your preferences and rebooting will allow you to boot from CD-ROM. Insert your Windows 2K CD and you should see a message telling you to strike any key to boot from CD_ROM. Then follow the instructions to install winndows 2000.
