One of my "power" user decided to delete Netmeeting from his desktop. How do i reinstall it ? I tried to find a downloadable version but could only find one for windows 2000. Reinstallnig the OS is NOT an option. Can anyone help?

Start, Run, conf.exe will run the Netmeeting installer.

It is much trickier to install, so the chances are good it is still on the workstation. (To remove Netmeeting requires: RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection C:\WINDOWS\inf\msnetmtg.inf,NetMtg.Remove )

If the conf.exe file was deleted, use your XP CD and restore the file to %windir%\system32 and rerun the installer.

expand cd_drive_letter:\i386\conf.ex_ %windir%\system32\conf.exe

I have tried expanding conf.ex_ to

c:\windows\system32\conf.exe

but when i try to run conf.exe i get an error message saying that NMAS.dll cannot be found.

Any ideas ?

I finally got it

i also had to expand mst120.dl_ , nams.dl_ and nmasnt.dl_ to the %windir%\system32 directory.

Thanks for your help i really appreciate it.

Good job.

It sounds like this guy was more thorough uninstalling Netmeeting that I first guessed.

Best wishes,
Bill Castner
